Life is Crazy Hectic!

So this past week, I found out that I was 6 hours short of renewing my CNA(Certified Nurse Assistant). My certification ends June 30th. And I would have to take the whole course and tests all over again without those hours. I was freaking out and just really stressed over the matter. I need my CNA to get into the nursing program. Well it will help alot atleast. So a very kind man in Vernal that owns a few care homes helped me out and said he would let me work those hours plus a few extra for safety and would sign my papers for it. I was so grateful. I found out last monday that I was short on hours. Tuesday morning, I was driving to Vernal so that I could be to work that evening. And I will tell you that it is such a long drive without my husband...not to mention very tiring. So I worked a few evening shifts to get my hours. Sadly, I didn't really get much sleep the whole time. It's funny how being married and used to sleeping with someone will do that to you. But thank goodness I was able to do that. I also got to spend time with my family. I had lunch with my sister-in-law, Kenna, and her adorable baby, Bria. I really enjoyed it. It was fun to catch up. Kind of like old times in high school when we would laugh and talk forever. It was great. I also got to see one of my best friend's, Staci, and her new baby boy, Isaac. So fun and I got to love babies. One of my favorite past times. LOL. I was going to leave Thursday morning and come home to my hubby. But my mother, love her so much, guilt-tripped me into staying an extra because the whole time I had been there she was working and didn't get to spend any time with me. But it was good. This whole time while I was in Vernal, my poor husband was suffering through school and homework without my help. But our reunion was wonderful on Friday evening when I finally made it back to Rexburg. We really enjoyed our weekend together. We went to a BBQ with some friends saturday night, enjoyed church on sunday and also game night with friends that night. Now back to school and craziness. We are down to 4 weeks left which means lots of homework, studying and projects. I really hope we can keep our sanity through all this.  Brian has a ton of homework this week as well as a bunch of tests. I am just barely getting to the point where I can send out thank you cards from our wedding soon. But I will be happy when it is done and this semester is over. Wish us luck. :)

Family is everything.

As I sit here thinking, my heart is full. I have the same routine every night before I go to bed...I clean my face, brush my teeth, say my prayers, and check on each one of my children. Seeing their sweet, sleeping faces just melts my heart. I think about each of their personalities. I wonder what goes through their minds and what they may be dreaming about. I come to an understanding with myself that I have an amazing and blessed life. My family is my everything. My life wouldn't be worth much without them. I am truly grateful for what I have and the role I am playing in the grand scheme of things. I hope I can continue to learn and become better each day. I know my family is constantly teaching me.

Thoughts of the future

Life can be extremely scary especially when you do not know what to expect. I am 17 weeks pregnant and I will graduate from the nursing program in 9 weeks. After that, I am expected to the take the NCLEX to get my RN license. So much change is ahead of us. Currently, Brian is applying to multiple jobs to see where we may end up. We will most likely be moving in May. But we do not know where yet. I think that is probably the scariest thing of all. I am going to have to find a new OB and hospital to have this baby. The tension and worry is just starting to build up for me and I am not sure how to handle it, but rather just go through life one day at a time. Something will come up and we will know what we are doing at some point. All I can say is that I have great faith in the Lord. He gets me through each day and calms my anxiety. He gives me the reassurence I need to carry on. We have been so greatly blessed and I notice it often. I am also blessed to have a wonderful, righteous husband...

Terrified for the Future

Recently, I've learned about some issues our country is facing. But more specifically that it is happening where we live and within our school district. I am terrified for my children.  I'm terrified for the curriculum that is trying to be forced upon them. If you're not sure what I am talking about, look up CRT (critical race theory). Here is an article that has good info on it: https://imprimis.hillsdale.edu/critical-race-theory-fight/ Our school district has been using non-threatening words like "diversity", "equity", and "inclusion ". All of those seem good. But don't let that fool you. If our school district chooses to add this to the curriculum, I will remove my kids from the district and home school them or find an alternative option. This is not okay.
