It's been FOR-EV-ER since I posted

So life has been busy, crazy, hectic, fun and exciting. I am in the nursing program at BYU-Idaho and it is hard core and lots of work. But I really do enjoy it. I believe that it is what I am meant to do secondary to being a mother of course. Brexdon is 10 months old now and his birthday is practically around the corner. It is so hard to believe how fast he is growing up.

So here is the update on the last 7 months of our life. haha.

Brian graduated from BYU-Idaho in April (he will walk in July because he was in Boise during graduation). Brexdon started crawling a few months ago and will probably start walking on his own any day now. That is a scary thought. I survived my first semester of nursing and am half way through my second semester (which I will hopefully also survive). I got released from my substitute relief society teacher calling and got called into the nursery. Fun and new. Brexdon and I went to nursery for the first time this past Sunday and he absolutely loved it. He loves playing with the big kids.

I know this is skimp on details but that is our life in a nutshell. We love it. We stay busy and we are one happy family. :)

Family is everything.

As I sit here thinking, my heart is full. I have the same routine every night before I go to bed...I clean my face, brush my teeth, say my prayers, and check on each one of my children. Seeing their sweet, sleeping faces just melts my heart. I think about each of their personalities. I wonder what goes through their minds and what they may be dreaming about. I come to an understanding with myself that I have an amazing and blessed life. My family is my everything. My life wouldn't be worth much without them. I am truly grateful for what I have and the role I am playing in the grand scheme of things. I hope I can continue to learn and become better each day. I know my family is constantly teaching me.

Thoughts of the future

Life can be extremely scary especially when you do not know what to expect. I am 17 weeks pregnant and I will graduate from the nursing program in 9 weeks. After that, I am expected to the take the NCLEX to get my RN license. So much change is ahead of us. Currently, Brian is applying to multiple jobs to see where we may end up. We will most likely be moving in May. But we do not know where yet. I think that is probably the scariest thing of all. I am going to have to find a new OB and hospital to have this baby. The tension and worry is just starting to build up for me and I am not sure how to handle it, but rather just go through life one day at a time. Something will come up and we will know what we are doing at some point. All I can say is that I have great faith in the Lord. He gets me through each day and calms my anxiety. He gives me the reassurence I need to carry on. We have been so greatly blessed and I notice it often. I am also blessed to have a wonderful, righteous husband...

Terrified for the Future

Recently, I've learned about some issues our country is facing. But more specifically that it is happening where we live and within our school district. I am terrified for my children.  I'm terrified for the curriculum that is trying to be forced upon them. If you're not sure what I am talking about, look up CRT (critical race theory). Here is an article that has good info on it: https://imprimis.hillsdale.edu/critical-race-theory-fight/ Our school district has been using non-threatening words like "diversity", "equity", and "inclusion ". All of those seem good. But don't let that fool you. If our school district chooses to add this to the curriculum, I will remove my kids from the district and home school them or find an alternative option. This is not okay.
