Any day now...

My goodness I have been terrible at blogging. This past semester has been so busy and crazy. But it is over now. Yay. Now we are waiting for our little guy to get here. I am not due until August 10th...but it seems that he plans to make an early appearance so stay tuned for pics of our son. I cannot wait to see what he looks like. It is all so exciting. As soon as I finished my finals for the semester, I started nesting like crazy. The baby's room is all ready with the crib set up, clothes washed, and put away. Now it is just a waiting game. Hopefully he doesn't make me wait too long. We were planning on going to Vernal this upcoming weekend for my little brother, Devin's, mission farewell but my doctor didn't want us going further than 15 minutes out of town so that became out of the question with it being 7 hours away. But maybe it will be worth it if my little guy comes by this weekend. We are both so excited and a bit nervous. It is a huge change, but luckily we are off track for fall semester so we can figure out this new adjustment.

Family is everything.

As I sit here thinking, my heart is full. I have the same routine every night before I go to bed...I clean my face, brush my teeth, say my prayers, and check on each one of my children. Seeing their sweet, sleeping faces just melts my heart. I think about each of their personalities. I wonder what goes through their minds and what they may be dreaming about. I come to an understanding with myself that I have an amazing and blessed life. My family is my everything. My life wouldn't be worth much without them. I am truly grateful for what I have and the role I am playing in the grand scheme of things. I hope I can continue to learn and become better each day. I know my family is constantly teaching me.

Thoughts of the future

Life can be extremely scary especially when you do not know what to expect. I am 17 weeks pregnant and I will graduate from the nursing program in 9 weeks. After that, I am expected to the take the NCLEX to get my RN license. So much change is ahead of us. Currently, Brian is applying to multiple jobs to see where we may end up. We will most likely be moving in May. But we do not know where yet. I think that is probably the scariest thing of all. I am going to have to find a new OB and hospital to have this baby. The tension and worry is just starting to build up for me and I am not sure how to handle it, but rather just go through life one day at a time. Something will come up and we will know what we are doing at some point. All I can say is that I have great faith in the Lord. He gets me through each day and calms my anxiety. He gives me the reassurence I need to carry on. We have been so greatly blessed and I notice it often. I am also blessed to have a wonderful, righteous husband...

Terrified for the Future

Recently, I've learned about some issues our country is facing. But more specifically that it is happening where we live and within our school district. I am terrified for my children.  I'm terrified for the curriculum that is trying to be forced upon them. If you're not sure what I am talking about, look up CRT (critical race theory). Here is an article that has good info on it: https://imprimis.hillsdale.edu/critical-race-theory-fight/ Our school district has been using non-threatening words like "diversity", "equity", and "inclusion ". All of those seem good. But don't let that fool you. If our school district chooses to add this to the curriculum, I will remove my kids from the district and home school them or find an alternative option. This is not okay.
