Silly Mistakes!

I must say it has been some week and it is only Wednesday...oh the joys of life. haha. Well yesterday, I decided to make bread. So we went down to the flour mill to get some flour because we were out. When I was making bread, I couldn't figure out why the dough was acting so funny. The color was darker than usual so I figured that we grabbed red wheat instead of white wheat. When I went to put dough into pans, it was giving me fits and was super stiff. But I managed somehow. The loaves weren't very pretty though. And I used alot more flour than I normally would. Well later last night, we found out that we grabbed pancake mix instead of flour...needless to say...the bread tastes interesting. haha. Brian had misread the label. It didn't cook quite right and it is way too sweet in an odd way. We are trying to figure out how to make good use of it without wasting it. Still not sure about that one. oh the joys of cooking and having a father-in-law that farms wheat, and mills it into flour and makes pancake mix. Well we know what bread does when you use pancake mix instead of flour.  :P
