1 year together! So crazy!

So a year ago yesterday, Brian asked me to be his girlfriend. We really hadn't known each other long but for atleast a month, we were constantly texting and talking and just getting to know each other better. We learned quite a bit about each other before we really started doing stuff together. A few days before we started dating, Brian met my family on our first "date" well sort of a date. It was alot of fun though. We played games and just had a ball. And Brian got along so great with my family and very easily held his own with the way my family jokes and their sarcasm. haha. But he asked me out a few days later after we had gone to the temple. We had done Baptism for the Dead. It was an amazing thing. Our singles ward bishop made sure that Brian was the one to baptize me. And we weren't even dating yet. I don't know how he knows things but he has like a 6th sense for it. haha. It was wonderful though and the spirit there was just amazing. Later that night, we went to my house to just spend time together, watch a movie and talk. Well I wasn't expecting anything...we were just starting to get to know each other but he asked me out and ofcourse I said YES because who would turn down such a wonderful man!? So One Year together for us. And it has been the absolute best year of my life so far. :)

We spent the day working at the flour mill for Brian's Dad. It was just us though and we got to talk alot. So it was pretty enjoyable even if we were working. That night we went to a halloween carnival at Brian's Mom's elementary school. We dressed up as a PB&J sandwich...it took a while for some people to get it but it was great nonetheless. And it didn't cost us a thing. We put it together fairly quick. So that was our exciting day. But everyday is sure great with the man I love. :)

Family is everything.

As I sit here thinking, my heart is full. I have the same routine every night before I go to bed...I clean my face, brush my teeth, say my prayers, and check on each one of my children. Seeing their sweet, sleeping faces just melts my heart. I think about each of their personalities. I wonder what goes through their minds and what they may be dreaming about. I come to an understanding with myself that I have an amazing and blessed life. My family is my everything. My life wouldn't be worth much without them. I am truly grateful for what I have and the role I am playing in the grand scheme of things. I hope I can continue to learn and become better each day. I know my family is constantly teaching me.

Thoughts of the future

Life can be extremely scary especially when you do not know what to expect. I am 17 weeks pregnant and I will graduate from the nursing program in 9 weeks. After that, I am expected to the take the NCLEX to get my RN license. So much change is ahead of us. Currently, Brian is applying to multiple jobs to see where we may end up. We will most likely be moving in May. But we do not know where yet. I think that is probably the scariest thing of all. I am going to have to find a new OB and hospital to have this baby. The tension and worry is just starting to build up for me and I am not sure how to handle it, but rather just go through life one day at a time. Something will come up and we will know what we are doing at some point. All I can say is that I have great faith in the Lord. He gets me through each day and calms my anxiety. He gives me the reassurence I need to carry on. We have been so greatly blessed and I notice it often. I am also blessed to have a wonderful, righteous husband...

Terrified for the Future

Recently, I've learned about some issues our country is facing. But more specifically that it is happening where we live and within our school district. I am terrified for my children.  I'm terrified for the curriculum that is trying to be forced upon them. If you're not sure what I am talking about, look up CRT (critical race theory). Here is an article that has good info on it: https://imprimis.hillsdale.edu/critical-race-theory-fight/ Our school district has been using non-threatening words like "diversity", "equity", and "inclusion ". All of those seem good. But don't let that fool you. If our school district chooses to add this to the curriculum, I will remove my kids from the district and home school them or find an alternative option. This is not okay.
