The Life & Adventures of the Taylor's

We've had quite the year.  A lot has happened and we are truly blessed.  In March,  we welcomed our baby boy,  Bennett,  into our family.  His siblings love him  so much.  They want to be around him  constantly. In April,  Brian and I got to go to Cabo, thanks to my side gig  Ruby Ribbon. I was able to earn the trip for us and Bennett joined us at only 5 weeks old. It was the first time any of us had been out of the country.  It was very enjoyable. In July, Bennett and I took a trip to Arizona for my annual conference.  It was fun and he did so good. Brian is still working at Wagner Equipment.  His 4 year anniversary there is coming up. He enjoys his job and the work environment.  Brexdon started 1st grade. He loves it and is constantly learning. You know I don't think I ever realized how much I love this Christmas season until this year. The music brings me joy. The lights and decor bring me joy. Seeing my children excited brings me joy. Gathering with family and friends brings me great joy. Thinking about the birth of Jesus Christ brings me joy. Of course this season can be full of stress and being oh so busy...but we can decide how to handle it. I've come to realize its much more enjoyable if I work on gifts months ahead of time.  This year I actually kept a list of gifts I have bought for people so they didn't get forgotten (totally guilty of that in past years). And we can choose how busy we want to be. We don't have to go to every holiday function we're invited to. We are allowed to say No...we can also combine events in a way. As I sit here thinking, my heart is full. I have the same routine every night before I go to bed...I clean my face, brush my teeth, say my prayers, and check on each one of my children. Seeing their sweet, sleeping faces just melts my heart. I think about each of their personalities. I wonder what goes through their minds and what they may be dreaming about. I come to an understanding with myself that I have an amazing and blessed life. My family is my everything. My life wouldn't be worth much without them. I am truly grateful for what I have and the role I am playing in the grand scheme of things. I hope I can continue to learn and become better each day. I know my family is constantly teaching me.

Well it's been about 6 months since I've posted so I decided it's time to post an update on our lives. Our sweet boy, Bennett Jaxon Taylor, was born on March 1, 2019. He was 7 pounds 2 ounces and 20 inches long. He is the sweetest, giggly boy. He loves watching his siblings and is 5 months old now. We are so glad to have him in our family. We have had a very busy summer. It has included swimming lessons for Brexdon and Haddley which they loved. We had a family reunion for my mom's family (Don Terry family) and got to catch up with aunts, uncles, and cousins. We have spent a lot of time at the splash park in Aztec. The kids absolutely love playing in the water. Certainly one of their favorite activities. We had another family reunion in July on Beaver mountain (Andrew Terry family). A lot of extended family that I didn't know but it was still a lot of fun and the mountain was absolutely gorgeous. The kids enjoyed playing in the dirt and trees with their cousins. ...

Today was well planned out. The girls had their weekly gymnastics, I would have an ultrasound, then my midwife appointment, then a chiropractor appointment...all that needed to happen in town scheduled for today...of course when plans are made, the world laughs in my face...mother nature laughs in my face. First off, the kiddos got sick and weren't feeling great (including Brex which meant he stayed home from school). So we didn't make it to gymnastics (seriously a bummer because the girls love it). Then it decided to snow and snow some more...of course it likes to snow on the days I plan to go to town. . . I didn't feel like it was a good idea to cancel three medical appointments so we were trying to figure out a way to still make it happen with all the kids home. Originally, we had planned to pack up and meet Brian in town. He would take a long lunch and spend time with the kids in the car (not the most exciting) and reduce spreading their sick germs.
