On to a new chapter in life...

So these past few weeks, Brian and I have been in Vernal watching my 3 younger siblings while my parents were gone on a cruise for their 25th anniversary. They recently got back this last monday. Needless to say, I am glad they are home. We have had an exciting and confusing ride with these kids. It was definitely a good learning opportunity for us with our future children. We realized that to be a parent, a few things are good to have: good negotiation skills, listening skills, patience, endurance, and energy. It was often a battle trying to get the kids to help clean up or get ready to go somewhere. We had to bribe and bargain with them. I think that I might have gone crazy if it were not for Brian and all the help he is. He definitely kept me sane. haha. Plus, the kids have so much energy so we had to find ways to tire them out so they wouldn't stay up all hours of the night. Thank goodness, they started school while we were here. It gave us a much needed break during the day. We took  them for bike rides, swam in canals, jumped on the trampoline and many other things. Also while we were watching the kids, we had to make a trip up to Idaho to move from one apartment to another( a bigger one I might add). We had a short deadline to do that so we did alot of driving, cleaning and moving stuff in a few days. I am sure glad that is done with. And really glad we are in a bigger apartment for a better price. Yay. The kids were bored most of the time. We attempted to get them to help us clean and move stuff, but it didn't last long. They just wanted to go explore. So we let them. There was too much that needed to get done to fight with them. So they stayed outside playing with each other and a big bouncy ball. They were kind of noisy, but I am sure glad they stayed occupied. So its really nice to have my parents back. I almost feel bad for them. Watching those kids is definitely a full time job. But it was fun and good for us. We are learning alot for our future family. This week, we will be leaving Vernal and heading down to Redmesa for a while. We will be working for Brian's parents. It will be really good to spend time with them. Plus, having money is always nice. So on to our next adventure, I guess.
