Long waited for Update
Well alot has happened since I last blogged. On Friday, July 26th our sweet son Brexdon McCoy was born. We went in for a doctors appointment that morning. Everything appeared to be progressing smoothly. He was head down and ready to enter the world. So our doctor sent us to the hospital to have him. Our doctor arrived a few hours later to break my water but found that Brexdon had completely flipped to that he was no longer head down. They then tried to flip him around but he would not budge. He sure is stubborn like his parents. So they prepared me for an emergency C section. It was all kind of a daze for me that day. Luckily, Brian did well to be by my side and help care for our new bundle. Brexdon was born at 2:44 pm weighing 7 lbs 2 oz and was 20 1/4 inches long. Now Brexdon is 3 1/2 months old and the greatest joy of our lives. He has been growing and developing so well. He smiles all and time and is starting to grab things. He is definitely a Momma's boy. He doesn't let me get much done unless he is sleeping. haha. But I love him so much. He is now sleeping 6-8 hours a night which is wonderful for me. I am starting to catch up on my sleep which is much needed.
Brian got put in as 2nd counselor of the bishopric just a few days after bring Brexdon home. haha. It has been an interesting challenge but we have been so blessed for it. Brian does a great job. And we have gotten to know the members of the ward much better. It has been great.
This upcoming semester will be Brian's last one and he will graduate in April. It is exciting and a bit nerve racking for him as well. Also I got accepted into the Nursing program which is so exciting. I am glad I got in but it is going to be alot of work. The next few years are going to be hectic. And I am going to have to learn to be a good mom and a good student. Definitely will be a task but it will be so worth it in the end.
Well that is the excitement for our lives for the past 4 months.
