Motherhood

Image
I have been thinking a lot lately about motherhood and what it means to be a mother. Motherhood is not just having a biological child. Motherhood is the action of nurturing and caring for others whether it be a teacher, nurse, mentor, or many other roles women play. A woman is a mother if she has her own children, has miscarried, or has adopted. I have been so blessed to be a mother to my two beautiful children. I am grateful for where my life has led me and to be where I am today. I am grateful that I get to stay home with my children which I know many mothers do not have the luxury of. I am especially grateful for the wonderful examples in my lives of mothers: My mother, my grandmothers, my mother-in-law, and my sister, and sister-in-law. They are all so amazing. I am blessed. Motherhood is wonderful.

4 Years already!

Today is Brian and my 4th anniversary. Time sure has flown. We have both finished school, moved multiple times, had 2 children, and purchased our first home. We are more in love now than we have ever been. Brian's job is going really well and we are happy. We are loving the warmer weather, especially Brexdon. He loves being outside. Haddley is crawling, Brexdon is saying more complete sentences. It is so exciting to see them learn and figure things out for themselves. We are happily settling in Southwest Colorado. We are working on a garden this year and Brian made a firepit that we can certainly enjoy in the summertime. I am applying for part time nursing jobs to keep my skills up and enjoying being a stay-at-home mom. I am working on having a fit and healthy body by exercising daily and I feel much better. Life is good. We are happy and our marriage couldn't be better.
